SUMMER JAM 2025 RECAP

The 1 Brotherhood Empowered Teen Leadership Team hosted its 3rd Annual Summer Jam, bringing together over 60 teen participants, 6 partners, and 35 adult community supporters for a day of learning, celebration, and connection. The event featured free STI/HIV testing provided by Inova Jupiter, a peer panel discussion with five local young adults on college, career, and life planning, and a financial empowerment session from John Marshall Bank on budgeting, banking systems, types of accounts, credit building, and wealth creation through saving and investing.

In addition to building skills and knowledge, the Summer Jam honored seven local high school seniors with Leadership Awards, recognizing their contributions and potential. The day ended with a lively trivia competition and a community meal sponsored by Chick-fil-A, closing the event with joy and connection. The success of this year’s gathering highlights the power of youth leadership and the collective impact of community partners working together to empower the next generation.
